These apply to every class, from the free trial onwards.
Everything goes through the academy
All communication goes through the academy. Teachers do not message students or parents privately.
You can join any lesson
Parents can join any lesson, regular classes as well as the trial, without telling us in advance. You are always welcome to observe. For the free trial, we suggest it for young children.
Lessons are recorded
The academy records lessons, and parents are also welcome to record them. Recordings are not public, and you can ask to see your child's recording or ask for it to be deleted.
The teacher's camera
Teachers may use their camera when needed. Every lesson is taught live on Zoom, one teacher with one student.

How Teachers Teach and Correct
Our teachers are experienced with different kinds of learners. Some specialise more in teaching children and others in teaching adults, and the student's age is one of the things we match on.
Teachers use methods that suit the learner and the level they are at. Everyone makes mistakes while learning to read the Quran, and teachers correct them respectfully, in a way that fits the student's age, level and learning needs.

Teacher Checks
Before a Teacher Joins
Before a teacher joins the academy, we complete four checks.
- Original certificates checked
- Recitation test
- Demo class
- ID and reference check
Changing Teacher
If the Teacher Is Not the Right Fit
Usually the same teacher continues after the trial, unless the family asks for a change.
Changing teacher is free. Tell us the reason, and we aim to have the new teacher ready for the next class.
Raising a Concern
If Something Worries You
Tell us about anything in a lesson that concerns you, on WhatsApp or by email.

- We aim to reply within a few hours.
- Serious wrongdoing
- If a teacher is ever involved in serious wrongdoing, the academy will take appropriate legal action where necessary.

Information
Your Child's Information
We only collect and keep the information needed to provide and manage the academy's services. Student information is stored in our academy management app, and only authorised academy staff who need it for their role can access it. When a student leaves the academy, we delete their information from the app. The exception is information we need to keep for legitimate business, accounting, tax, legal or other lawful purposes. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties.
The academy records lessons for teaching quality, to follow the student's progress, for safeguarding and to manage the academy. Recordings are not public. Only authorised academy management, and the teaching and academic staff who need a recording for those purposes, can access it. Recordings are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes. When a student leaves the academy, their recordings are deleted along with their other information, unless a particular recording needs to be kept for a legitimate or legal reason.
