Class Times
Find a Class Time That Works for Your Family
Irish families plan around one national school calendar, set by the Department of Education for every county, and one clock that switches between GMT and Irish Standard Time. So a schedule planned in Dublin works the same way in Galway or Limerick: pick the days and times that suit your family in Irish time, and we match a teacher who is free then.
- Time zone
- Class times are confirmed in Irish Time.
- Moving a class
- Give at least 4 hours' notice and the class is made up, not lost.
Choose your preferred class time in your local time. We arrange a suitable teacher for the time you choose.
In Irish Time.
Your preferred class time
5pm
Irish Time. When your clocks change (Sunday 25 October 2026 and Sunday 28 March 2027), the class stays at 5pm your time.
Sunset, for planning around Maghrib: in Dublin, around 4.10pm in late December and 9.55pm in late June. Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, depending on the moon sighting; sunset is then around 5.20pm, and around 6.15pm by the last days. These are estimates for choosing class times, not prayer times.
A request, not a booking. Send the short trial form, and we reply on WhatsApp within a few hours to agree the day of your free 30-minute trial and confirm the time.
How It Works
How Online Quran Lessons Work
Every lesson is live, with one teacher and one student, so the pace is set by the learner, not by a class.
- Live and one-to-one on Zoom
- Just the student and the teacher, with nothing to travel to. Parents are welcome to sit in, and can join any lesson.
- Seven days a week, at your times
- Classes of 30, 45 or 60 minutes, on the days and at the times you choose, always in your local time.
- The same teacher each week
- Usually the same teacher continues after the trial, unless the family asks for a change.
- Taught in English
- All our teachers speak English and Urdu, and several also speak Arabic or Pashto, as listed on each teacher's profile.
Teachers, Checked Before They Join
Before joining, every teacher has their original certificates checked, passes a recitation test and a demo class, and goes through ID and reference checks. Every teacher holds a recognised Quran qualification. Not all are certified by the same board, so each teacher's own qualifications are listed on their profile. You can ask for a female teacher, and we can arrange one at most times.
The illustration is shared by the five women teaching with us, never one teacher's face.
All communication goes through the academy. Teachers do not message students or parents privately. How we keep lessons safe · All our teachers and their qualifications

Worth Knowing Before You Book

GMT in Winter, Irish Standard Time in Summer
Under Irish law, standard time is UTC+1, known as Irish Standard Time, and GMT applies during the winter period, so a class booked in Irish time simply follows whichever is in force.

One School Calendar for Every County
The Department of Education sets standard holiday dates for all primary and post-primary schools from 2026/27 to 2028/29, so a family in Cork and a family in Dublin get the same breaks.

FAQ
Questions Families Ask Us
Do you offer Quran classes for families in Ireland?
Yes. Ease Quran teaches families in Ireland online, one-to-one on Zoom, with class times confirmed in Irish time. The first class is a free 30-minute trial, and no card is needed.
Is Irish Standard Time used all year?
No. Irish Standard Time (UTC+1) is the summer clock, and from late October to late March Ireland is on GMT. Your class stays at the same Irish time through both changes, so there is nothing to rearrange when the clocks move.
Primary mid-term in February is only two days. Can a class move to those days?
Yes. Tell us at least 4 hours before the class and we move it; in 2027 that means 18 or 19 February for a primary child. If your child is at home those days, you can also ask for a daytime slot instead of the usual after-school one.
The clocks go forward in the middle of the Easter break. What happens to the class time?
It stays at the same Irish time. A 5pm class is still at 5pm after the clocks go forward on 28 March, and if you pause over Easter, the first class back is at your usual time.
