Yes, you can learn with a female teacher. Ask for one when you request your free trial. We can arrange a female teacher at most times, and when we reply we tell you whether one is free at the times you asked for.

How It Works

Our Female Teacher Policy, Plainly

Ask for a female teacher on the trial form or in your WhatsApp message. When we reply, we agree the time with you and tell you whether a female teacher is free then, before anything is booked.

We say at most times, not always, because it depends on which of our female teachers is free at the time you want. We would rather tell you that now than promise it and change teachers later.

Classes are one-to-one on Zoom, and all contact goes through the academy. Teachers do not message students privately.

Each of you has your own private classes and your own free trial, at your own level. Ask for a female teacher for both of you, and tell us if you would like your classes one after the other.

For a young daughter you are welcome to sit in on the trial, and we suggest it. Brothers and sisters in the same family get a sibling discount on their packages.

Questions Sisters Ask

Is a female teacher always available?

Not at every hour, which is why we say at most times. It depends on which of our female teachers is free at the time you want. When we reply on WhatsApp we tell you whether a female teacher is free at those times, so you know before the class, not during it.

Will my regular classes also be with a woman?

Usually. The teacher who takes your trial normally continues with your regular classes unless you ask for a change. If she cannot take a class one day, another teacher takes it or a makeup class is scheduled, so tell us if you would rather wait for a makeup class with a female teacher.

Can I learn Tajweed or do Hifz with a female teacher?

Yes. Ustadha Hafsa Noor and Ustadha Fatima Zahra both teach Hifz and Tajweed, and Ustadha Ayesha Rahman and Ustadha Sumaiya Khan also teach Tajweed. Hifz runs as Hifz Intensive: 5 classes a week of 45 minutes. We match you with a teacher who is free at your times.

Do I need to read well before I start?

No. Ladies who have never read Arabic start at the first letter with the Noorani Qaida, and sisters who already read can go on to reading practice or Tajweed. The trial teacher listens to you read and places you.

Can classes fit around the school run or work?

Yes. Classes run 7 days a week, so a weekday morning after drop off, a lunch break or a weekend can all work if a female teacher is free then. A window, such as any weekday morning, is easier to match than a single fixed time.
