Class Times

Find a Class Time That Works for Your Family

As part of zone B, Marseille has the latest winter and spring holidays in France in 2027, running into early March and early May, when families in Paris and Lyon are already back at school. Your usual class times stay in French time, and only the holiday weeks you choose change.

Time zone
Class times are confirmed in Central European Time.
Moving a class
Give at least 4 hours' notice and the class is made up, not lost.

Choose your preferred class time in your local time. We arrange a suitable teacher for the time you choose.

5pm

Central European Time, Marseille. When your clocks change (Sunday 28 March 2027 and Sunday 31 October 2027), the class stays at 5pm your time.

Sunset, for planning around Maghrib: in Marseille, around 5.05pm in late December and 9.20pm in late June. Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, depending on the moon sighting; sunset is then around 6pm, and around 6.35pm by the last days. These are estimates for choosing class times, not prayer times.

How It Works

How Online Quran Lessons Work

Every lesson is live, with one teacher and one student, so the pace is set by the learner, not by a class.

Live and one-to-one on Zoom
Just the student and the teacher, with nothing to travel to. Parents are welcome to sit in, and can join any lesson.
Seven days a week, at your times
Classes of 30, 45 or 60 minutes, on the days and at the times you choose, always in your local time.
The same teacher each week
Usually the same teacher continues after the trial, unless the family asks for a change.
Taught in English
All our teachers speak English and Urdu, and several also speak Arabic or Pashto, as listed on each teacher's profile.

Teachers, Checked Before They Join

Before joining, every teacher has their original certificates checked, passes a recitation test and a demo class, and goes through ID and reference checks. Every teacher holds a recognised Quran qualification. Not all are certified by the same board, so each teacher's own qualifications are listed on their profile. You can ask for a female teacher, and we can arrange one at most times.

The illustration is shared by the five women teaching with us, never one teacher's face.

All communication goes through the academy. Teachers do not message students or parents privately. How we keep lessons safe · All our teachers and their qualifications

FAQ

Questions Families Ask Us

Do you offer Quran classes for families in Marseille?

Yes, online. Ease Quran teaches families in Marseille one-to-one on Zoom, with class times confirmed in French time, and the first 30-minute class is a free trial.

Our winter holidays are later than in Paris or Lyon. Does that affect our classes?

No, because your timetable is set around your family, not a national one. Tell us your plans for 20 February to 8 March 2027 and we move, pause or add classes for those two weeks only.

Can my child have a later evening class after activities?

You can ask for any time. For a later class, give us a range of times rather than one, and we tell you what we can arrange. In the zone B winter weeks, 20 February to 8 March 2027, a daytime class is an option instead.

Spring holidays run into May. Can we pause classes until school restarts?

Yes. Move or skip classes from 17 April with 4 hours' notice and they are made up after 3 May. A package is billed only when its classes are used, so a pause costs you nothing.
