Class Times
Find a Class Time That Works for Your Family
Bavaria's school year runs differently from the rest of Germany, with a late autumn break, two weeks at Whitsun and a summer lasting into September. The state also releases Muslim pupils from lessons on the first two days of each Eid. Plan your class weeks around those in German time, and tell us which weeks change.
- Time zone
- Class times are confirmed in Central European Time.
- Moving a class
- Give at least 4 hours' notice and the class is made up, not lost.
Choose your preferred class time in your local time. We arrange a suitable teacher for the time you choose.
In Central European Time.
Your preferred class time
5pm
Central European Time, Munich. When your clocks change (Sunday 28 March 2027 and Sunday 31 October 2027), the class stays at 5pm your time.
Sunset, for planning around Maghrib: in Munich, around 4.20pm in late December and 9.15pm in late June. Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, depending on the moon sighting; sunset is then around 5.20pm, and around 6.05pm by the last days. These are estimates for choosing class times, not prayer times.
A request, not a booking. Send the short trial form, and we reply on WhatsApp within a few hours to agree the day of your free 30-minute trial and confirm the time.
How It Works
How Online Quran Lessons Work
Every lesson is live, with one teacher and one student, so the pace is set by the learner, not by a class.
- Live and one-to-one on Zoom
- Just the student and the teacher, with nothing to travel to. Parents are welcome to sit in, and can join any lesson.
- Seven days a week, at your times
- Classes of 30, 45 or 60 minutes, on the days and at the times you choose, always in your local time.
- The same teacher each week
- Usually the same teacher continues after the trial, unless the family asks for a change.
- Taught in English
- All our teachers speak English and Urdu, and several also speak Arabic or Pashto, as listed on each teacher's profile.
Teachers, Checked Before They Join
Before joining, every teacher has their original certificates checked, passes a recitation test and a demo class, and goes through ID and reference checks. Every teacher holds a recognised Quran qualification. Not all are certified by the same board, so each teacher's own qualifications are listed on their profile. You can ask for a female teacher, and we can arrange one at most times.
The illustration is shared by the five women teaching with us, never one teacher's face.
All communication goes through the academy. Teachers do not message students or parents privately. How we keep lessons safe · All our teachers and their qualifications

Bavaria releases Muslim pupils on the first two days of each Eid. Can we skip or move class?

The clocks go back shortly before the autumn holidays. Does that affect us?
No. From the last Sunday of October (25 October in 2026) your class stays at the same Munich time, so nothing needs rearranging before the autumn break (2 to 6 November in 2026).
Summer runs until 13 September. Can classes continue through August at a different time?
Yes. Give us your summer days and times, mornings included, and we look for a teacher free then. When school restarts in mid-September you can go back to after-school slots.
