Class Times
Find a Class Time That Works for Your Family
Hamburg's school calendar has two things worth planning around: a spring break in early March, and a published day off for Muslim pupils at each Eid, granted on request. In 2027 the break covers Ramadanfest, so the Eid day that touches school is Opferfest in May.
- Time zone
- Class times are confirmed in Central European Time.
- Moving a class
- Give at least 4 hours' notice and the class is made up, not lost.
Choose your preferred class time in your local time. We arrange a suitable teacher for the time you choose.
In Central European Time.
Your preferred class time
5pm
Central European Time, Hamburg. When your clocks change (Sunday 28 March 2027 and Sunday 31 October 2027), the class stays at 5pm your time.
Sunset, for planning around Maghrib: in Hamburg, around 4pm in late December and 9.55pm in late June. Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, depending on the moon sighting; sunset is then around 5.15pm, and around 6.10pm by the last days. These are estimates for choosing class times, not prayer times.
A request, not a booking. Send the short trial form, and we reply on WhatsApp within a few hours to agree the day of your free 30-minute trial and confirm the time.
How It Works
How Online Quran Lessons Work
Every lesson is live, with one teacher and one student, so the pace is set by the learner, not by a class.
- Live and one-to-one on Zoom
- Just the student and the teacher, with nothing to travel to. Parents are welcome to sit in, and can join any lesson.
- Seven days a week, at your times
- Classes of 30, 45 or 60 minutes, on the days and at the times you choose, always in your local time.
- The same teacher each week
- Usually the same teacher continues after the trial, unless the family asks for a change.
- Taught in English
- All our teachers speak English and Urdu, and several also speak Arabic or Pashto, as listed on each teacher's profile.
Teachers, Checked Before They Join
Before joining, every teacher has their original certificates checked, passes a recitation test and a demo class, and goes through ID and reference checks. Every teacher holds a recognised Quran qualification. Not all are certified by the same board, so each teacher's own qualifications are listed on their profile. You can ask for a female teacher, and we can arrange one at most times.
The illustration is shared by the five women teaching with us, never one teacher's face.
All communication goes through the academy. Teachers do not message students or parents privately. How we keep lessons safe · All our teachers and their qualifications

A Day Off at Each Eid, on Request
For 2026/27 Hamburg's school authority lets Muslim pupils take one of the first two days of Ramadanfest (9 or 10 March 2027) and of Opferfest (16 or 17 May 2027) off on request.

FAQ
Questions Families Ask Us
Do you offer Quran classes for families in Hamburg?
Yes, online. Ease Quran teaches families in Hamburg one-to-one on Zoom, with class times confirmed in German time. The first class is free and lasts 30 minutes.
The school authority lets Muslim pupils take a day off at Eid. Can we move that week's class?
Yes. In 2027 Ramadanfest (9 and 10 March) falls in the spring break, so the day to plan for is Opferfest: once you know whether your child takes 16 or 17 May, tell us at least 4 hours before the class and we move it or make it up later. Keeping a short class on Eid itself is also your choice.
Our spring break is in early March, not at Easter. Can the schedule follow it?
Yes, the schedule follows your family's calendar, not a fixed term. For 1 to 12 March 2027 you can move classes to the daytime, pause them, or keep them as they are.
Can we move classes later in the evening during Ramadan?
You can ask for any time and we look for a teacher who is free then. Give us a range of times, for example straight after iftar or at the weekend, and we tell you what we can match.
