Class Times

Find a Class Time That Works for Your Family

Victorian Term 4 starts on the Monday after the clocks go forward, so the first week back at school is also the first week of daylight saving. In 2027 that Monday is 4 October. Your class keeps its Melbourne time through the change, so the new term starts with one less thing to sort out.

Time zone
Class times are confirmed in Australian Eastern Time.
Moving a class
Give at least 4 hours' notice and the class is made up, not lost.

Choose your preferred class time in your local time. We arrange a suitable teacher for the time you choose.

Your preferred class time

5pm

Australian Eastern Time, Melbourne. When your clocks change (Sunday 4 April 2027 and Sunday 3 October 2027), the class stays at 5pm your time.

Sunset, for planning around Maghrib: in Melbourne, around 8.40pm in late December and 5.10pm in late June. Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, depending on the moon sighting; sunset is then around 8.30pm, and around 7.50pm by the last days. These are estimates for choosing class times, not prayer times.

A request, not a booking. Send the short trial form, and we reply on WhatsApp within a few hours to agree the day of your free 30-minute trial and confirm the time.

How It Works

How Online Quran Lessons Work

Every lesson is live, with one teacher and one student, so the pace is set by the learner, not by a class.

Live and one-to-one on Zoom
Just the student and the teacher, with nothing to travel to. Parents are welcome to sit in, and can join any lesson.
Seven days a week, at your times
Classes of 30, 45 or 60 minutes, on the days and at the times you choose, always in your local time.
The same teacher each week
Usually the same teacher continues after the trial, unless the family asks for a change.
Taught in English
All our teachers speak English and Urdu, and several also speak Arabic or Pashto, as listed on each teacher's profile.

Teachers, Checked Before They Join

Before joining, every teacher has their original certificates checked, passes a recitation test and a demo class, and goes through ID and reference checks. Every teacher holds a recognised Quran qualification. Not all are certified by the same board, so each teacher's own qualifications are listed on their profile. You can ask for a female teacher, and we can arrange one at most times.

The illustration is shared by the five women teaching with us, never one teacher's face.

All communication goes through the academy. Teachers do not message students or parents privately. How we keep lessons safe · All our teachers and their qualifications

FAQ

Questions Families Ask Us

Do you offer Quran classes for families in Melbourne?

Yes. Ease Quran teaches families in Melbourne online, one-to-one on Zoom, with class times confirmed in Melbourne time. Your first class is free. If you'd like regular classes to begin with a new school term, mention it when you book.

The clocks change the night before Term 4 starts. Does our class time move?

No. If your class is at 4.30pm in Melbourne, it stays at 4.30pm on the first day of Term 4 and every week after. You give us Melbourne times, and Melbourne times are what we keep.

Are we on the same time as Sydney?

Yes, all year, because Victoria and New South Wales change their clocks on the same Sundays. So relatives in Sydney can give us the same clock times as you; only the school terms differ.

Does the Victorian school calendar change anything for our classes?

Nothing changes on our side: your class keeps the days and times you chose. If your children's routine shifts when a term starts or ends, such as Term 1 finishing on Thursday 25 March 2027, tell us. Any single class can be moved with at least 4 hours' notice.

In the term breaks, can class move to the daytime?

Yes. Send the times you want for the break and we look for a teacher free then; a second choice of time makes matching quicker. When term starts again, the usual slot can come back.
