Class Times
Find a Class Time That Works for Your Family
NSW puts its clocks forward on the first Sunday in October, and in both 2026 and 2027 that Sunday falls inside the spring school holidays. The change never moves your class: give us the days and times that suit your family in Sydney time, and that is the time we keep, all year, after school, after work or at the weekend.
- Time zone
- Class times are confirmed in Australian Eastern Time.
- Moving a class
- Give at least 4 hours' notice and the class is made up, not lost.
Choose your preferred class time in your local time. We arrange a suitable teacher for the time you choose.
In Australian Eastern Time.
Your preferred class time
5pm
Australian Eastern Time, Sydney. When your clocks change (Sunday 4 April 2027 and Sunday 3 October 2027), the class stays at 5pm your time.
Sunset, for planning around Maghrib: in Sydney, around 8.05pm in late December and 4.55pm in late June. Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, depending on the moon sighting; sunset is then around 7.55pm, and around 7.25pm by the last days. These are estimates for choosing class times, not prayer times.
A request, not a booking. Send the short trial form, and we reply on WhatsApp within a few hours to agree the day of your free 30-minute trial and confirm the time.
How It Works
How Online Quran Lessons Work
Every lesson is live, with one teacher and one student, so the pace is set by the learner, not by a class.
- Live and one-to-one on Zoom
- Just the student and the teacher, with nothing to travel to. Parents are welcome to sit in, and can join any lesson.
- Seven days a week, at your times
- Classes of 30, 45 or 60 minutes, on the days and at the times you choose, always in your local time.
- The same teacher each week
- Usually the same teacher continues after the trial, unless the family asks for a change.
- Taught in English
- All our teachers speak English and Urdu, and several also speak Arabic or Pashto, as listed on each teacher's profile.
Teachers, Checked Before They Join
Before joining, every teacher has their original certificates checked, passes a recitation test and a demo class, and goes through ID and reference checks. Every teacher holds a recognised Quran qualification. Not all are certified by the same board, so each teacher's own qualifications are listed on their profile. You can ask for a female teacher, and we can arrange one at most times.
The illustration is shared by the five women teaching with us, never one teacher's face.
All communication goes through the academy. Teachers do not message students or parents privately. How we keep lessons safe · All our teachers and their qualifications

FAQ
Questions Families Ask Us
Do you offer Quran classes for families in Sydney?
Yes. Ease Quran teaches families in Sydney online, one-to-one on Zoom, with class times confirmed in Sydney time. The first class is a free 30-minute trial. If you're in Broken Hill, say so when you book: the town keeps South Australian time.
Will our class move when the clocks change in October?
No. A class booked for 5pm Sydney time stays at 5pm, before and after the change, and the same is true when the clocks go back on the first Sunday in April (4 April 2027). There is nothing for you to rearrange.
Our children will be off school for Eid. Can we move their Quran class that day?
Yes. Eid isn't a NSW school holiday, but the Department of Education lets families ask the principal for leave. For the Quran class, tell us at least 4 hours before it starts and we move it, so no class is lost.
We live in Canberra. Is the ACT on the same clock?
Yes. The ACT keeps the same time as NSW all year and changes its clocks on the same Sundays, so the times on this page work for you too. Mention Canberra when you book: ACT schools set their own term dates, so your term dates can differ from NSW by a few days.
