Class Times
Find a Class Time That Works for Your Family
Western Australia keeps the same clock all year, but the eastern states do not, so Perth is 2 hours behind Sydney in winter and 3 hours behind in summer, which is easy to miss when relatives in the east book classes too. Tell us the days and times that suit your family in Perth time and that is when the class runs, whatever the eastern states are doing with their clocks.
- Time zone
- Class times are confirmed in Australian Western Standard Time.
- Moving a class
- Give at least 4 hours' notice and the class is made up, not lost.
Choose your preferred class time in your local time. We arrange a suitable teacher for the time you choose.
In Australian Western Standard Time.
Your preferred class time
5pm
Australian Western Standard Time, Perth. Your clocks do not change, so the class stays at 5pm all year.
Sunset, for planning around Maghrib: in Perth, around 7.20pm in late December and 5.20pm in late June. Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, depending on the moon sighting; sunset is then around 7.15pm, and around 6.45pm by the last days. These are estimates for choosing class times, not prayer times.
A request, not a booking. Send the short trial form, and we reply on WhatsApp within a few hours to agree the day of your free 30-minute trial and confirm the time.
How It Works
How Online Quran Lessons Work
Every lesson is live, with one teacher and one student, so the pace is set by the learner, not by a class.
- Live and one-to-one on Zoom
- Just the student and the teacher, with nothing to travel to. Parents are welcome to sit in, and can join any lesson.
- Seven days a week, at your times
- Classes of 30, 45 or 60 minutes, on the days and at the times you choose, always in your local time.
- The same teacher each week
- Usually the same teacher continues after the trial, unless the family asks for a change.
- Taught in English
- All our teachers speak English and Urdu, and several also speak Arabic or Pashto, as listed on each teacher's profile.
Teachers, Checked Before They Join
Before joining, every teacher has their original certificates checked, passes a recitation test and a demo class, and goes through ID and reference checks. Every teacher holds a recognised Quran qualification. Not all are certified by the same board, so each teacher's own qualifications are listed on their profile. You can ask for a female teacher, and we can arrange one at most times.
The illustration is shared by the five women teaching with us, never one teacher's face.
All communication goes through the academy. Teachers do not message students or parents privately. How we keep lessons safe · All our teachers and their qualifications

FAQ
Questions Families Ask Us
Do you offer Quran classes for families in Perth?
Yes. Ease Quran teaches families in Perth online, one-to-one on Zoom, with class times confirmed in Western Australian time and a free first class. When you book, say Perth rather than just Australia: in summer Perth is 3 hours behind Sydney.
Can my child have class straight after school in Perth?
Yes. Ask for the after-school time that suits you, such as 3.30pm or 4pm, and we look for a teacher free then. Because WA never changes its clocks, the slot stays the same in every term.
We have family in Sydney. Why does the gap between us grow in summer?
Because NSW moves its clocks forward and WA doesn't. Perth is 2 hours behind Sydney from April to early October and 3 hours behind from the first Sunday in October to the first Sunday in April. Each family's class keeps its own local time, so give us Perth times for your children and let the Sydney family give theirs.
Term 1 2027 starts on 1 February. Can classes start before school goes back?
Yes. There is no term to wait for: book the free trial when it suits you, and classes run 7 days a week. Starting in January lets the weekly class settle before school, and you can move it to an after-school time once Term 1 begins.
